- DO NOT DISCONNECT your current Connection to Xero in Loft.

In Xero
When migrating from Xero to QuickBooks Online, you must first set up your Quickbooks/Settings to be closely matched to how your Xero is set up. This will ensure a timely migration! Our recommendations, to accomplish this, are as follows:
- Either setup your new QuickBooks Online Chart of Accounts to match your current Xero's Chart of Accounts. Or import your Exported Xero's Chart of Account. If you are looking to clean up your Chart of Accounts for your migration, we suggest you do your G/L cleanup AFTER your migration you may miss crucial G/L accounts mapped in your Loft/Xero integration. This will cause issues when migrating because the migration requires specific G/L mapping in both your Settings and deductions.
- To export your Chart of Accounts out of Xero, follow the instructions in this Xero article https://central.xero.com/s/article/Export-or-print-your-chart-of-accounts please note, you will need to reformat the spreadsheet export to be compatible with the import template required by QuickBooks Online. https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/import-chart-accounts-quickbooks-online/L9Res1eb1_US_en_US#:~:text=Here%27s%20a%20sample%20of%20how%20your%20spreadsheet%20should%20look.%20You%20can%20also%20download%20our%20sample%20spreadsheet%20if%20you%20need%20more%20references.
