Updating the Legal Name field

Why the additional field?

Over the years, we've noticed people change their Brokerage name to their Legal Business name so that their T4A's or 1099's are reporting under this name.  We've created a new field in your Brokerage's Setting Menu called Legal Name.  This field automatically defaults to your Brokerage Name as set in the field above.  If your Brokerage Name is your Legal Business Name, then no further action is required.  However, if this is not the case, please update this field as it's the field we will be pulling from into your Tax Return Reports, T4A's, and 1099's respectively.  

Updating the Field


  1. Head to your Brokerage>Settings Menu
  2. Update the Legal Name field 
  3. Save your Changes
